TAIPEI (STREET) FOODTRIP 2013
By Ysabel Villaflor
When I told my friend I was going to Taipei with family, there were two things she told me that stuck in my mind: street food and night markets. Only two people in my family have been to Taipei and majority of us have no idea what we were in for when we booked that flight. (i.e. we listed places we haven't been to and the winner turned out to be: as you guessed it: TAIPEI!) but we were glad that we went!
From leisurely walking around the night markets til our feet hurt, from taking in the smells of the food wafting through the air and just being adventurous with trying out the food that looked "good": my family had one of the best gastronomical trips ever. Here are just some of the places and food we loved in the city they call "TAIPEI".
Thank you to: Timothy De Belen for taking us around, Jong and Kreme Seen and WG Christine Santos for the tips :) Much Love!
1. Raohe Night Market
2. Ximending Night Market
3. Shilin Night Market
4. Taipei 101
6. Random Restaurant from our hotel street
Drink of Choice: Taiwan Beer
