MY HONG KONG & MACAU SHOPPING HAULS
December 29, 2010
When I am out of the country, I have a little rule when shopping: stay away from the stores I can find in the Philippines. Unless those stores overseas offer a really really good bargain, then I might just break my little rule. But most of the time, I don't.
When I am out of the country, I have a little rule when shopping: stay away from the stores I can find in the Philippines. Unless those stores overseas offer a really really good bargain, then I might just break my little rule. But most of the time, I don't.
Here are some of the stuff I bought from the trip and places you might just want to check out whenever you're in the Hong Kong or Macau Area. I had so much fun shopping, I hope you do too :)
Love,

P.S. This isn't entirely EVERYTHING I bought during the trip. I didn't include the gifts. People I'm giving it to might read this blog! hehehe
1. H&M Store - 0r Hennes&Mauritz is a Swede clothing company which is creating quite a following. Now that Forever 21 has set foot in the Philippines, more and more people are now clamoring for this retail franchise to finally have a store here! But for now, the nearest H&M store is an hour plane ride away in Hong Kong. Check it out on Canton Road, Central and Langham Place.

2. COTTON ON
A friend of mine introduced me to this brand while touring Israel. And when I finally had the chance to see it for myself the first time, I can understand why my friend was so ecstatic about it.
COTTON ON is an Australian clothing company with branches around the world..except the Philippines. It has the design aesthetic of the GAP with price tags that are mouth-droppingly ridiculous.. in a good way. It's cheap. It's nice. It's my kind of store.
COTTON ON has branches all over Hong Kong.
p.s. Thanks Stevie!

3. Li Yuen Street Market - a trip to Hong Kong won't be complete if you don't visit a Street Market. Hong Kong is famous for these night markets that thrive on tourists. Quirky trinkets, unique clothing options, miniature furnitures and souvenirs - at haggling prices. One of the streets we visited is Li Yuen Street in Central. It's smaller than Ladies Market but it has more memorable stuff than just cheap knock offs. It's worth a visit :)

5. Bershka- is a Spanish brand, youngest of Inditex Group which also handles Zara. It was made to cater to a more younger demographic of the Zara company.
Bershka is located at the Venetian, Macau and some Zara stores.
6. Pull and Bear - Spanish brand, also a part of the Inditex Group. It's urban, it's edgy, it's pretty cool. Do check it out!
Pull and Bear can be seen at the Venetian Macau.
