WANDER GIRL SHOPPING HOTSPOT:
GRANVILLE ROAD, KOWLOON, HONG KONG

As much as I love shopping at name brands and the quirky street markets in Hong Kong, nothing gets me than the local designers. For 1 thing, you’ll never find another person wearing the same outfit back home and another, going to a local spot where locals actually shop gives you a vibe of the place you are in. It just feels different. It’s like living the life of a local even just for a little while and that’s something you can take with you as a very unique travel experience.
One of the places I always go to when I’m in Hong Kong is Granville Road at Kowloon side. Why? Because it is the home of small local Hong Kong fashion clothing stores. Another good thing about Granville Road, is that every store is lined up side by side so it’s easier to go from one shop to the other. Unlike the loudness of Harajuku, Hong Kong fashion is edgy, urban, a little bit more muted and pretty cool. Which are very much in every Filipina's ally.
Granville has had a major make-over by the addition of a luxury mall called The One. To my opinion, is kinda sad.. Hong Kong has enough luxury malls anyways. Call it the nostalgic in me that wishes it remained the same. But, thank God there are still the small local stores on the side.
Another addition is the opening of Granville Identity. Now, if there's a store or building that would best describe Granville Road, then this would be it. It's bright, it's alluring, it's young and vibrant. This is a building that houses local products and unique Asian and European brands. Too bad I can only take a picture of the outside and a picture of CRUMBS, a yogurt place which is a must visit at Granville Identity!
To better enjoy Granville, avoid the crowd in the morning by going at night. Don't worry, they close late. 10:30pm. :) Here is a glimpse of Granville at night. Too bad we got in a little bit late and some shops were already closed. Enjoy!

Take a breather from shopping at CRUMBS Yogurt Place at Granville Identity.
The best part is the CRUMBS on it!!! It's a lot more like ice cream than yogurt BUT man oh man, it tastes AMAZING!
I am still having foodie dreams about this until now. Sigh.

a small Cotton On store on Granville.

Go to Mossy for fashionable shoes with pretty awesome prices.
